Shooting in Toronto is special for me. Not only is this my home city and the place where I was born and raised, but it was where I learned how to shoot. So much of what I understand about photography was shaped by the metal, glass, and concrete that make up this city's historic, practical, and somewhat moody architecture. I came back for a work event but knew I'd have a chance to shoot, which was equally exciting and daunting. So much so that I had to write a cheesy intro, apparently.
I only had thirty minutes to shoot during my first week home but I couldn't have asked for better/angrier weather. It was as if it knew I had been shooting with another city for 6 months.
As part of our annual Shopify UX Summit, I had a chance to participate in two photowalks. How could I resist?
I've never taken so many photos of the CN Tower before.
Shot with Fujifilm X-T2, XF 16mm f1.4, and XF 35mm f2.0. Edited in Adobe Lightroom with VHP Presets.
